In 2010 a herd of colourful elephants appeared around London as part of a conservation campaign to highlight the urgent crisis faced by the endangered Asian elephant. In 2012 another Eggcellent charity campaign will take over the streets of our great city.
Launching on Shrove Tuesday, 21st February 2012, our streets will become a thrilling adventure, a myriad of wonder, a world of inspiration. The Big Egg Hunt will be all go!
For 40 days and 40 nights London will be transfixed by the most astounding and exhilarating egg hunt it has ever seen. As the organiser explain "Each corner will hold a secret treasure for you to discover and experience, hatching wonders and excitement as you journey through our great city."
Over 200 uniquely crafted eggs created by leading artists, designers, architects and jewellers will be displayed in central London. Join the hunt and journey through the city, picking up exciting clues along the way for a truly original and interactive Easter experience.
We think this is another great idea and the money raised will go to charities The Elephant Family and Action for Children. The organisers aim to raise £1million for both the charities through this event, so keep your eyes peeled and get ready for some cracking fun next year.
